The Reality for Haiti’s Children
Today in Haiti, 1 in 5 children won’t live to see their 6th birthday. Half will never set foot in a classroom. And 1 in 10 are trapped in the heartbreaking cycle of child slavery.
Years of political unrest, natural disasters, and the global pandemic have made an already dire situation worse—leaving 70% of children shut out of school and stripped of opportunities to build a better future.
But this story isn’t finished. Haiti ARISE is committed to changing it—one child, one classroom, one future at a time.
Through our Renewal of Haiti Academy, over 600 students from preschool through to high school now have access to quality education. Since 2016, we’ve built a permanent elementary school, cafeteria, admin offices, and now our high school building with 12 classrooms and a library. Only one more building—a dedicated middle school—remains to complete our vision.

The Haiti ARISE Education Fund exists to open the door to education for children and young people who might not otherwise have the opportunity. By supporting students at the primary, secondary, and post-secondary levels, this fund helps equip them with the tools they need to become self-sufficient and empowered to make a lasting impact in their own communities. Skills Training
Our Haiti ARISE Technical School is thriving, offering hands-on training in valuable trades like construction, plumbing, electrical, tiling, welding, sewing, culinary arts, and more. These programs are equipping young men and women with practical skills that lead to real job opportunities and long-term sustainability. By providing access to quality vocational education, we’re not only changing individual lives—we’re empowering communities to rebuild from within and break the cycle of poverty.
