Greetings from Haiti!

Today was a great day - only 31 degrees. (and muggy)

We started the day at the Children’s Village with the Collins.  They are a family from Montana who are long term missionaries overseeing the construction and development of this project.  We all spent some time praying and walking around the site, and then hearing their plans for this project.   150 kids rescued from slavery, housed with a Hatian Mom & Dad.  Up to 700 kids attending school from ages 3 - grade 12.  A new church facility, a soccer field, and a multipurpose building.  Big dreams from a big God.

We also spent a considerable amount of time moving building supplies from one family home to another.

Our team is great.  They work hard and support each other no matter what the task is.

This afternoon the men (boys?) continued working at completing projects they began last week.  The women conducted the weekly bible study.  Robin taught on obedience and various women shared testimonies.  We enjoyed being with our Haitian sisters.

I came to Haiti with a tired and tense heart and while the heat has just about done me in I find my heart feels very refreshed and renewed.

One of the highlights for me, has been building relationships with our team members.  Being from a different church than Surrey Alliance, it has meant so much to me to be welcomed & embraced by this team.

Bon wit
