Bethel on a Monday blog.. I have to take my turn saith our fearless leaders...haha So today was another beautiful day with the morning sun and so peaceful up on the roof for our morning devos.  I was here a year ago and it's great to be back to reconnect here with all the relationships from last year and to see and serve the people of Haiti. Its a privilege to be part of such a great group from Bethel and area too.  The facility has changed alot with the carpenter/welding shops being completed and many other changes and improvements. After breakfast I spent some shop time today and it ended up taking way longer than I expected to modify the wheelchair that Karen sent parts for but with the help of especially Paul, I found enough pieces to gerry rig the footrests that weren't made for this model work.( thanks gerry)  I even took Bruce and Dezay for a cruise in it ta show them what it feels like just in case.lol ..pics later. The others mostly worked at the Childrens Village, tiling, grouting and painting.  We had a super lunch with cabbage, veggies rice and burgers. Wade -- cabbage is a vegetable and yes it's good for you haha. The food has been awesome here on the compound and these chefs sure take great care of us ! We have been so Blessed to have the Montana group here with us as we are blending so well and they are great people of faith ! When my one suitcase got lost for a few days, they were loading me down with gifts of clothing and anything else i needed to get me by, advils as I was not feeling well and wow the love they show us all continually is so apparent.  Anyhow ,supper highlites other than beef today was Pastor Wade running around with a sub-water gun shooting Marc in the ear, hitting Diane, Keith and several others and pretty much starting a little war on the compound. Poor Marc was pretty upset his rice got soggy and really never got over it haha. ITs really great to see the leaders having this kind of fun as there are so many stresses out hear almost unimaginable. The security in this region is a serious issue. We and the people of Haiti, especially the leaders of Haiti Arise and this whole compound sure need the prayers of all of you out there. We split up into 3 groups with our interpreters for visitation again this aft delivering hygene supplies and mostly praying for individuals in their homes. We delivered the wheelchair on our way on foot, and the lady showed her appreciation for sure. I was just overwhelmed today with the poor conditions these people live in and how much sickness there is out there (that would be probably quite easily resolved where we live). Even just packing water every day for miles with jugs on your head is unthinkable for us. The infrastructure of this country is so broken. Better not complain though as we actually had some city power today ! Power has been a rarity on this trip and that surely has part to do with the rioting etc in Haiti. Day came to an end with the complete group on the roof praising God, debriefing our day and... thanks Cam-Kim for leading us in song/guitar every nite, that's been awesome !  Our session led to prayer for the people, binding satan outa this place, roar roar !!, and healing for a hurting family with us. Thanking you in advance for your prayers !    ...Thankyou Marilyn and Wade for being the leaders you are ...
