Yesterday's sermon was delivered by Lisa Honorat, the wife of Pastor Mark, who both founded Haiti Arise.  1 Timothy 12: "Let no one look down on your youthfulness, but rather speech, conduct, love, faith adn purity, show yourself an exmaple of those who believe."  So many young people here and we see that they are the next generation of leaders. Many of the men are strong and courageous, and when they asked for prayer, they asked for a life change.  Lisa reminded all of us, that no matter our age, the young do become the example.  Our testimonies are just as profound as our elders, and we have influence that is powerful.  To not let anoyone allow or permit, to look down or despise our youthfulness.  It is important for us to live differently than the rest: at work, at home, in social gatherings, everywhere.  Jesus provided us with an example, and at 33, like Jesus, I understand setting the tone and example in any environment.  I have the power to lead.  And the young Haitian people have the power to lead and influence and make change here.

To have purity: an unpolluted state of mind, physicial and spiritual.  To cleanse our minds and to have purity in the way we walk, talk, and think.  "Let the words of my mouth and the meditation of my heart be acceptable in Your sight, O Lord, my rock and my Redemmer." - Psalm 19:14

I have a special place in my heart for one of our translaters, Johnny.  He is as sweet as pie and after doing a village walk the other day, he asked our team to pray over him.  I just think that he will do amazing things and I want to support him in every way.  He is so talented.  He showed us jewelry like necklaces, earrings, and bracelets that he made.  If I had money, I would've bought everything.  I will find out how I can support him when I go back home.  And I will definitely stay in touch.  I know it's typical that we have the option to sponsor a child, but I want to in anyway sponsor him.  His personality and joy is infectious.  Yesterday, he gave us more lessons in Creole.  And when he was leaving, we asked how do you say "I love you." And with all genuiness, when we waved goodbye, Charlotte and I said, "I love you."

This morning, Kelli gave an amazing devotional, Romans 8:28 "And we know that God causes all things to work together for good to those who love God, to those who are called according to His purpose." He predestined us to be the image of His Son.  And here, it is such an epidemy of faith.  The death of our mothers, the rape, the depression, the fear, it all was to bring glory to God and to testify to others that you can survive ALL circumstance, ALL pain, and ALL adversity, because today, God uses my testimony, and others that I can Smile again; have joy again, and testify to God's faithfulness. He is Good and through all things, He uses it all to help others.  AMEN!!! I am so thankful that He chose me!! And now, it ALL makes sense. ALL of it.  IT all makses sense. Thank you, Jesus.
