Hello Everyone! I hope things are fine at home, things are great here. Today we had a very productive day, we got a lot of tile laid. We had a Haitian helper named Gotto, he is very enthusiastic and wants to be a tile setter in the near future. I'm trying to be a bit of a mentor to him and I think I have been. The rest of the crew has been doing a couple different things, today the second building in the Children's Village is getting painted. It's been very hot so there has been some sunburns. Chad has been working on the kitchen cabinets for unit 1 in the first duplex, it's been a little dicey because he has been trying to cut panels with a circular saw. Construction resumes tomorrow and we're hoping for even more progress tomorrow.
Tonight we went to Church for Thursday Prayer Meeting. It was awesome! It felt like God was right there beside us. I had a young boy named Besi sit down in front of me, he looked back a number of times and looked back to touch my hand. I put my hand on his shoulder and it was a very special moment, I was emotional and he didn't want me to move my hand. I couldn't help but wonder what his situation is at home, does he have a dad? Does he come from a Christion home? I'm going to try to find out more about him tomorrow.
Good night from Haiti.
