Today has been a crazy, exhasting and long day. We don't have much interest access right now, so we will try and blog when we can. We flew from Seattle to Miami last night and then flew from Miami to Port Au Prince this morning and arrived around lunch. We then had the opportunity to drive through the city and get a feel for what life was like in the center of Haiti. Definitely eye opening and life changing for a lot of us. We met the Warman team in Miami and rode together with them in vans to the compound in Grand Goave. After we arrived we had a bit of time to relax, and then together as a large group we took a walk through the community and had the opportunity to spend some time with kids in the community. For those who were on the team last year, we saw naked boy, and got to spend some time with Kenny today - and Lundy, the police officer from last year too. Such a blessing to be able to spend time with children who are so filled with joy and love. The day has been pretty laid back and relaxing. Tomorrow will be our first real day of work and then we begin our VBS on Wednesay. Tomorrow night we will also attend our first church service with the Haiti Arise church. Looking forward to being able to worship with the Haitian community, and to seeing what the Lord has in plan for us for the next few days. Continue to pray for us as we enter into new experiences and challenges in all areas. Looking forward to getting to know the Warman team and the other missionaries that are serving here as well.
Can't wait to share more adventures and stories with you guys soon!
