Today was a day off from work for most of us.  Vernon, Bill and Steven went to work at the Children's village.  Everyone else went to the Market in Grand Goave.  We had been prepared ahead of time that it was crowded and hot.  It was interesting to see how people buy their food and other necessities and the wide range of products available.  We went into the bakery and bought the best tasting, fresh out of the oven bread.  Our three translaters did a good job of keeping all eleven of us moving through the narrow walk ways.

After lunch we walked to the beach and snorkelled, cooled off in the water and relaxed in the sun.  It was the first time snorkelling for some and a perfect calm place to try it.

It is good to go outside the compound and recognize faces and in some instances being called by name.
