Well, Crossroads Church from Red Deer, Alberta and Cochrane Valley Community Church from Cochrane, Alberta have paired up to bring two great teams down to Haiti ARISE for 10 work-filled days, and we've had a few other individuals come along for the ride. Two gentlemen from Vacaville, CA are returning HAM team members from the Father's House who came on special invitation to put their hands to the plumbing and electrical work in the tech school. A couple from BC, David and Debra Storey, have come to check out how they could work with Haiti ARISE longer term in the future, and Steve Thorne, a Haiti ARISE veteran missionary from The Link in Medicine Hat, Alberta has also joined the troops. This groups' main focus? Getting the finishing work of electrical, plumbing, painting, and tiling in the technical school done! The two teams both are keeping their own blogs that you can check out at the links below. Periodically, this Team Blog will also be updated by Val and Howard Horner, who are on the ground working with Marc to keep the work and team in order and on track. So far, everyone is all safe, made it on the ground, through the shocking experience (for the newbies) of travel through Port-Au-Prince, and have remained healthy. Both teams brought lots of tools and goodies that they unloaded on their first day (Monday, Nov 19) and inventoried, to get prepared for the work at hand. It's a hub of activity! The internet has still been giving issues, so photos may be sparse, but we will do our best! Follow along for the ride with these teams and tag alongs!
