Our Future
Welding, cabinetry, artisan crafts and cooking are examples of the classes that will be offered as supplies, equipment, finances and teachers come available. The Technical Institute will provide excellent quality college education via a hard-working Haitian staff & foreign volunteer professors.
Developments of our other programs are progressing quickly. A permanent primary and secondary school will be built. In the meantime, 300 students in pre-school to 5th grade are being served. The medical clinic will serve the community at large with medical services, as well as provide a place of employment and training for medical students and local Haitian staff. The children’s village plans are being worked on, with hopes to begin construction this year.
Progress is continually being made toward the completion of our goals. The Haitian people welcome and share our vision and have taken ownership of the projects by providing both labor and enthusiasm. The Technical Institute and Bible College have begun serving many out of town students as well, expanding the reach and influence of Haiti ARISE. Our volunteers who have traveled to Haiti to work with us have been warmed by the Haitian peoples' dedication and sincerity.
