Well, our last days for this school year wrapped up in Haiti. We ushered the medical team back to the airport and treasured the last few days we all had with Chris and Rebecca. Everyone was so sad to see them go. This couple made a huge impact on Haiti ARISE. We had a going-away party the night before they left and all the youth from the church came out, as well as the staff and spouses. It was such a special time and spoke volumes of how loved they are here. We are praying earnestly that God will call them back to Haiti ARISE again. Marc and I had one week more after they left and it was so quiet without them. We hosted one more team from a group called eMi that came specifically to work on the site plans and building designs for the new 7-acre property, where we have been having so many land dispute challenges. We are moving forward in faith, believing that God will deliver this land from the enemy for the future development of the community.
Projects will continue, though Marc, the kids and I have left for North America. We have finished three more homes through EachONE BuildONE Home Rebuilding Program, and are starting four more that will be built through the summer. The medical clinic is still in progress, with hopes to have one side completely finished by November for medical clinics. The technical college foundation will be finished up and then put on hold til we have more skilled laborers come to help. Marc and I are starting our travels around North America to visit churches and share updates. We are in Vacaville, California now and will be sharing at 3 churches in this area, before heading onto WA, BC and then to Alberta. We will be in Canada July- Sept, so if your church or you know of a church that would like us to come share about Haiti ARISE, please contact us. We would be happy to come!
